POS stands for Point of
Sales. Just as it says, this is the actual point in sale.
The actual point where you interact with the customer and exchange
products/money. Something of value. The actual point
where sales take place.
A POS System is any machine that takes care
of this "Point of sale". Everything you would do from exchanging
money to checking items, will be done through this system. While
these systems are supposed to make our lives easier, many of them make
our lives more complicated. Sure it looks fancy at a store, but it
is not worth buying if it doesn't save you time and money.
